Looking for some Fortnite skins to try out? Even though it's been years now since Fortnite released, the crossovers really haven't slowed down, and the endless stream of Disney franchise characters and musicians can be a bit overwhelming, especially when some skins are only available for a short time before they disappear.

If you don't manage to grab a rare skin that you want when it appears, you can sometimes be left waiting a pretty long time before it appears on the store again. That said, Fortnite has plenty of skins to choose from, so chances are you'll find something else, whether it's dressing up like a Xenomorph, or a sentient banana.

In this Fortnite skins guide, we've compiled some of the best cosmetics available in the game, as well as recent additions. Fortnite regularly features franchise crossovers and events that bring even more skins to the game, so to help you narrow down your choices, we've collected a whole range together.

Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange

The best Fortnite skins (3)

As with Star Wars, pretty much every Marvel character seems to get a skin nowadays, and even though Multiverse of Madness might not be the most enjoyable watch for WandaVision fans, you can still get a pretty neat Scarlet Witch skin to enjoy the Wanda in your own way. Doctor Strange is also available as a skin.

Boba Fett

The best Fortnite skins (4)

There are A LOT of Star Wars skins on the Fortnite store, and it seems like every new Disney series gets a tie-in, but Boba Fett is a bit of an icon in terms of the classic films so this is a great one to collect if you're a fan. It's also featured on the store fairly often, meaning it shouldn't be too hard to grab.

Ariana Grande

The best Fortnite skins (5)

Look, I'm by no means a pop music follower. My tastes include Canadian tech death and ambient coding chillhop. But even I know Ariana Grande is the biggest pop star in the modern world, and her Fortnite event was another incredible example of technical and artistic fantasy, and not just because she grew 100 feet tall. Her Fortnite skin gives her a glamorous and sparkly look that would fit in at any performance, or just up in the clouds.

Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, and Sakura

The best Fortnite skins (6)

Boy ninja wonder Naruto and his pals have joined Fortnite in the game's first anime crossover. If you didn't grow up in the mid-2000's listening to this absolute banger of an OP, then are you really a shonen lover? Not only do these Fortnite skins replicate the anime's look pretty effectively, we've also got variant skins from different eras of the (incredibly long) show.

Fabio Sparklemane

The best Fortnite skins (7)

Fortnite teases out the inner brony in all of us with Fabio Sparklemane, a distinct blend of romance novel icon Fabio and Rainbow Dash. Oddly alluring animal-human hybrids are no stranger to Fortnite. This is, after all, a game featuring a cat with shredded abs.

El Chapulin Colorado

The best Fortnite skins (8)

Think of the absolute madness it takes to add a Mexican television icon from the 70's to Fortnite. El Chapulin Colorado (translated as "The Red Grasshopper" or "Cherry Cricket") ran from 1973 to 1979, depicting the misadventures of a superhero who was "more agile than a turtle, stronger than a mouse, nobler than a lettuce." It became such a beloved cult hit that even The Simpsons parodies El Chapulin with its character Bumblebee Man.

Meowscles/Cartoon Meowscles

The best Fortnite skins (9)

A cat with sixpack abs that would make Schwarzenegger blush like a schoolgirl. Meowscles really lives up to the whole cat lifestyle: Calm and cute one moment, killing you dead the next. To make things even better, Epic turned him into a Steamboat Willy-style cartoon version later on. The bendy limbs and exaggerated emotions really sell the old-school animation style.

Tart Tycoon

The best Fortnite skins (10)

Stylistically, this skin falls in line with a lot of the other "inanimate object but with a head" outfits that Fortnite has released, like Peely or Brat. But Tart Tycoon stands out because of the historical burn associated with him. Epic released a trailer parodying Apple's famous 1984 ad, all as part of bait for a lawsuit that, as of mid-2021, is still ongoing.

Alien's Xenomorph

The best Fortnite skins (11)

Fortnite season 5 introduced the multiverse's best hunters to help keep the Fortnite world from tearing apart, and no hunter does a better job than the oddly phallic xenomorph from the Alien franchise. Though it was preceded by the Predator, you can't deny the xenomorph probably has a bigger place in the hearts of movie nerds everywhere.

Relaxed Fit Jonesy

The best Fortnite skins (12)

For obvious reasons, Epic thankfully refrained from calling this Jonesy variant "Fat Jonesy," but it's easy to see how this was a fun little tease for season 4's Thor skin. Or maybe it was an homage to Jeff "The Dude" Bridges. Either way, I especially love the dedication to maximum sloppiness with the fries and drink holsters.

The Galaxy Set

Normally, a Fortnite skin associated with a phone company would be painfully dull. These Samsung Galaxy-inspired looks are legitimately out of this world, though.

Eco AKA the Fortnite Chapter 1 Map Skin

The best Fortnite skins (16)

At first glance, Eco probably looks like some weird fan art, but look a little closer and you'll notice some familiar topography from Fortnite's first ten seasons. Though we'll probably never see that original map again, we can at least celebrate its legacy in style.

Master Chief

The best Fortnite skins (17)

Fortnite has incorporated several other game franchises into its multiverse, like Street Fighter and God of War, but Master Chief is probably the best recreation of a PC gaming icon. He doesn't look like a weird CG cartoon, he just looks like the bump-mapped beauty we know him as.

Mystique (and her copycat ability)

The best Fortnite skins (18)

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 introduced a ton of Marvel heroes, but it's anti-hero/villain Mystique who steals the show with her ability to copy the look of any enemy you eliminate.

Tsuki

The best Fortnite skins (19)

What's better than a murderous schoolgirl? A murderous schoolgirl who's also a robot.Tsuki is one of Fortnite's most recognisable skins, with a variety of versions that frequently appear on the store.

Polar Patroller

The best Fortnite skins (20)

Give a bear a gun, and he'll ask for a rocket launcher. This particular bear will ice you and give Paw Patrol a whole new connotation.

Lots of Fortnite Star Wars skins

Star Wars is cool. Fortnite is cool. It makes sense that Fortnite Star Wars skins would be cool, too, in one of the most ubiquitous crossovers since, I don't know, The Simpsons and Family Guy.

Brat, like if Peely was a hotdog

The best Fortnite skins (25)

Brat might be following in the footsteps of Peely as far as anthropomorphic food products, and he might be pulling some mad Poochy vibes, but there's no denying that we all want a bite of this meat hunk.

DJ Yond3r

The best Fortnite skins (26)

We've never had a formal Daft Punk/Fortnite crossover, but if they did, DJ Yond3r is what it would look like. He's so popular, he's even got a damn Funko Pop. It helps that there's a load of style options for Yond3r, too, helping keep you customizable on the battlefield.

Peely

The best Fortnite skins (27)

Peely is a banana person. No explanation needed.

Leviathan

The best Fortnite skins (28)

Leviathan is on every one of these lists because it’s a great skin, and one of Fortnite's first. It's wacky with an undertone of evil supervillain. We wouldn’t be surprised if that mansion with the secret lair outside Lonely Lodge belongs to this fella. Pair it with the Venturion Cape, making for the ultimate evil fashion combo.

Masked Fury

The best Fortnite skins (29)

If pure melee attacks ever come to Fortnite then this will be the skin to use. Nothing leads up to a beatdown better than strutting around like a real-life luchador. They are some of the most stylish wrestlers out there, with fancy, complex patterns on their bodysuits and some lovely masks to complete their striking image.

Ghoul and Skull Troopers

The best Fortnite skins (30)

I’ve grouped these together because they were both special Halloween skins: one was a bit of face paint and ripped clothes, the other a skeleton suit. You probably won’t get a chance to grab either one until at least October, though, when the pumpkins come out.

Wukong

The best Fortnite skins (31)

This is a cartoony version of Sun Wukong, a monkey king from Chinese mythology, and Epic did a great job making him feel over-the-top while still capturing his animal side. You’ll find plenty of bling all over this outfit, with giant gold shoulder pads wouldn’t look out of place on a World of Warcraft dwarf.

John Wick

The best Fortnite skins (32)

After Epic made an unofficial homage to Baba Yaga named the "Reaper," they eventually got to utilize Keanu's actual likeness for the follow-up. Nothing strikes fear in your enemies quite like action cinema's current darling.

Master of Creative Codes and Fortnite's weekly missions, Joe's always ready with a scoop on Boba Fett or John Wick or whoever the hell is coming to Fortnite this week.
